The Brooklyn Quilt Guild has resumed monthly meetings after taking a summer break. At our first meeting on September 17 members brought in literally stacks of baby quilts completed since last spring.
The guild is very active in the community, making and donating quilts for those that could use some cheering up. For example, this past year members made over 350 quilts that were donated to children in local hospitals and to disabled veterans being treated in our area.
The total for the 2015-2016 year, from September to June:
- 'Easy as ABC' baby quilts: 321
- Soldier Quilts: 49
