Show Raffles

Two beautiful raffle quilts—a modern Wonky Cross quilt and a Sunflower/Ukrainian Benefit quilt have been made for the show. Buy tickets for chances to win! Raffle tickets are $1 per ticket or $5 for a book of six tickets.

Wonky-Cross Raffle
1st Prize:
Wonky-Cross Quilt, 96”x96”.
2nd Prize: Brother ScanNCut SDX85 cutting machine, donated by Sew Right Sewing Machines.
3rd Prize: Basket of quilting supplies.


Sunflower Raffle
Prize: 
Sunflower Quilt, 84”x84”
All proceeds from the Sunflower quilt will go to UNICEF for Ukrainian refugees.

Workshops and Demonstrations
Free hands-on workshops will be running throughout the show for attendees. Many with a focus on mending, repair and reuse. All materials supplied.

Workshops include:

  • Make a Bead and Fabric Necklace

  • Fabric Bowl Making Demonstration

  • Make an English Paper Pieced Patch

  • Make a Drawstring Bag

  • Paper Piecing Demo

  • Making Yoyos from Scraps

Sylvia Hernandez will present quilts and speak on her social justice quilting journey at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 30, 2023.

A celebrated master quilter, Sylvia creates works that address community and human rights issues. She has exhibited locally, nationally and internationally including Journey of Hope in America: Quilts Inspired by President Barack Obama, We Are the Story: A Visual Response to Racism in Minneapolis, Fabric of a Nation: American Quilt Stories in the Fine Arts Museum of Boston, and currently in the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles, and the James Museum of Western & Wildlife Art in Florida.
